Actor Randy Quaid has sparked controversy after publicly criticizing the casting of Anne Hathaway in the upcoming sequel to the 1990 NASCAR movie Days of Thunder, calling her a “leftist” and “woke” choice for the film’s audience.
Quaid, who appeared in the original movie as racing team owner Tim Daland, argued that filmmakers should have brought back Nicole Kidman, who starred opposite Tom Cruise in the original film.
